Terms and Conditions
1. Definitions In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

Client: Any person, company, or agent that purchases or orders Services from Vitalova.

Services: The supply of blood testing panels (including Baseline, During, and Post monitoring), phlebotomy services (clinic or mobile), Supplier Materials, and any related services.

Supplier Materials: All blood collection kits, needles, request forms, and other materials provided by Vitalova.

Sample: Any blood, stool, urine, or swab sample provided by the Client for testing.

Result: The laboratory analysis report provided by Vitalova or its accredited partners.

Phlebotomist: Any person, clinic, or service engaged by Vitalova to perform blood collection (whether clinic-based or mobile/at-home).

Build Your Own Panel: A custom blood test panel where the Client selects individual biomarkers.

Data Protection Laws: UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (as amended).
- Protected Data: Any personal or health data processed by Vitalova in connection with the Services.
2. Basis of Contract
2.1 The Client’s request or payment for Services constitutes an offer to purchase Services from Vitalova.
2.2 The Contract is formed when Vitalova accepts the order (usually by sending an order confirmation).
2.3 These Terms and Conditions form the entire agreement between the parties.
2.4 No other terms (including those the Client may try to impose) shall apply unless agreed in writing by Vitalova.
3. Services
3.1 Vitalova will provide the Services with reasonable skill and care using accredited UK laboratories.
3.2 Vitalova does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All results are for informational and monitoring purposes only.
3.3 The Client acknowledges that turnaround times are estimates only and Vitalova accepts no liability for delays caused by laboratories or couriers.
3.4 Once a phlebotomy appointment has been arranged, the service is deemed to have been substantially performed and is non-refundable.
4. Phlebotomy Services
4.1 Vitalova offers both Clinic Phlebotomy and At-Home / Mobile Phlebotomy.
4.2 The Client is responsible for attending the appointment or being available at the agreed time for mobile phlebotomy.
4.3 Vitalova is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss arising from phlebotomy services, whether performed by Vitalova’s partners or recommended third parties.
4.4 The Client agrees that any changes or cancellations to phlebotomy appointments may incur a cancellation fee at Vitalova’s discretion.
5. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to:
- Provide accurate personal and health information
- Follow all instructions for sample collection and return
- Obtain all necessary consents (including from patients where applicable)
- Comply with all applicable laws, including Data Protection Laws
- Not use the Services for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
6. Build Your Own Panels
6.1 When ordering a Build Your Own Panel, the Client is solely responsible for selecting the correct tests.
6.2 Once the order has been processed and Supplier Materials dispatched or the phlebotomy appointment confirmed, the order is non-refundable.
7. Results
7.1 Results will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.
7.2 Vitalova strongly recommends that all results are reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional.
7.3 Vitalova does not offer interpretation of results or medical advice.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
8.1 Orders may not be cancelled once the phlebotomy appointment has been booked.
8.2 Refunds are only available in exceptional circumstances (e.g. laboratory error) at Vitalova’s sole discretion.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
9.2 Subject to clause 9.1, Vitalova’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for the specific order.
9.3 Vitalova is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profit or data.
10. Data Protection
10.1 Vitalova acts as Data Processor and the Client acts as Data Controller for any personal or health data processed in connection with the Services.
10.2 Vitalova will process Protected Data only in accordance with the Client’s instructions and Data Protection Laws.

11. Intellectual Property
All Intellectual Property Rights in the Services, website, branding, and any software (including the Analyser if used) belong to Vitalova.
12. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential all information received in connection with the Services, except where disclosure is required by law.
13. Termination
Vitalova may terminate the Contract immediately if the Client breaches these Terms, fails to make payment, or becomes insolvent.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Full Blood Count
Haemoglobin — Measures oxygen-carrying capacity of red blood cells. Important for energy, endurance, and recovery.
Haematocrit — Percentage of red blood cells in blood. Helps assess hydration and oxygen delivery.
Red Blood Cell Count — Number of red blood cells. Supports overall energy and oxygen transport.
White Blood Cell Count — Assesses immune system activity and can indicate inflammation or infection.
Platelet Count — Involved in blood clotting and tissue repair processes.
Liver Function Tests
ALT (Alanine Aminotransferase) — Liver enzyme that rises with stress or damage.
AST (Aspartate Aminotransferase) — Liver enzyme used alongside ALT to evaluate liver health.
ALP (Alkaline Phosphatase) — Enzyme found in liver and bone; helps assess liver and bone metabolism.
Bilirubin — Waste product processed by the liver.
Albumin — Main protein made by the liver; important for fluid balance and nutrient transport.
Kidney Function Tests
eGFR — Measures how well your kidneys are filtering blood.
Creatinine — Waste product from muscle metabolism; key indicator of kidney function.
Urea — Waste product from protein breakdown; helps evaluate kidney health and hydration.
Lipid Profile
Total Cholesterol — Overall cholesterol level in the blood.
LDL Cholesterol — Often called “bad” cholesterol; associated with cardiovascular risk.
HDL Cholesterol — Often called “good” cholesterol; helps remove excess cholesterol.
Triglycerides — Type of fat in the blood; high levels can indicate metabolic issues.
Blood Sugar & Insulin Markers
Glucose — Current blood sugar level.
HbA1c — Average blood sugar control over the past 2–3 months.
Insulin — Hormone that regulates blood sugar and nutrient uptake.
Inflammation Markers
hs-CRP (High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein) — Sensitive marker of systemic inflammation.
ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) — Helps assess chronic inflammatory burden.
Thyroid Tests
TSH — Signal from the brain that controls thyroid activity.
Free T4 — Main thyroid hormone produced by the thyroid gland.
Free T3 — The most active thyroid hormone that regulates metabolism and energy.
Hormones
Testosterone (total) — Primary hormone for muscle, strength, libido, and vitality.
Free Testosterone — The active, usable portion of testosterone.
Estradiol (Oestrogen) — Important for hormonal balance.
SHBG — Protein that binds testosterone; affects how much is available.
LH (Luteinising Hormone) — Regulates natural testosterone production.
FSH — Supports reproductive and hormonal equilibrium.
DHEA-S — Adrenal androgen that contributes to energy and libido.
Prolactin — Can suppress libido when elevated.
